Waterloo Region – A tentative agreement has been reached between the Region of Waterloo and CUPE Local 1883, representing inside workers. Both parties worked hard and collaboratively to reach this tentative deal.

As post-secondary institutions across Ontario prepare for students to return to in-person learning and on campus living for the 2021-2022 academic year, ensuring high rates of vaccination among the student population will be critical to Ontario’s pandemic control. The COVID-19 pandemic, and in particular, the Delta variant have had a significant impact on Waterloo Region.

Waterloo Region – Starting tomorrow, it will be easier for residents to get a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Waterloo Region as appointments are no longer required. All public vaccination clinics will be accepting walk-ins for both first and second doses of the vaccine.

Waterloo Region –The Region of Waterloo Arts Fund is awarding 31 grants, totaling $191,255, in response to dynamic proposals submitted by a wide range of artists and arts organizations. The Spring 2021 round received 86 applications seeking a total of $588,745 in grants funding.
